Currently, INTUITIVE INSIGHT is not taking any insurance plans. However, this does not imply that you may not utilize insurance for Counseling services through INTUITIVE INSIGHT.
The steps below shall outline the general process for receiving reimbursement for services.
Standard Procedure for all Services Rendered
- Upon completion of the session, INTUITIVE INSIGHT will provide an Invoice and subsequent fee for the service rendered.
- The Service Recipient shall pay the appropriate fee through multiple Payment Options (Credit Cards, Cash, Check, Paypal, etc.)
- Upon payment, the Service Recipient shall receive an e-receipt.
Filing a claim and reimbursement
Service Recipient files a claim with their insurance carrier to request reimbursement for Counseling/Mental Health Services rendered by Out of Network Provider. Submit a completed claim along with a copy of the e-receipt to insurance carrier.
Insurance carrier receives the claim and determines if Service Recipient is eligible for reimbursement.
Carrier shall provide reimbursement based on Out Of Network Provider percentage which varies based on the insurance carrier.
If the Service Recipient is unable to receive reimbursement from insurance carrier, Counseling/Mental Health Services may also be tax deductible based on several factors. Counseling/Therapy services can usually be deducted if it is being utilized for a diagnosed medical issue (e.g. depression, anxiety, PTSD, bi-polar, etc.) and if the Service Recipient has spent over 7.5% of their adjusted gross income (AGI or the money you take home after taxes).
In the case of the insurance carrier providing a “partial reimbursement” of the service fee, the Service Recipient may be able to deduct their “out of pocket” cost (the portion of the fee not reimbursed by insurance carrier).
